Tanzania: safari adventure
The trip in a nutshell
A group tour of Tanzania to discover the wildest areas of East Africa, where nature reigns supreme amongst massive baobabs, the immense savannah and the majestic big five - can you name them all? Once we get to Arusha, forget life as you know it, leave all civilisation behind and jump right in to discover the primitive charm of the parks of Tarangire and Serengeti; with a little luck we’ll be able to admire the migration of wildebeests and zebras. In Ngorongoro we’ll descend into the heart of the crater searching for the king of all animals, the majestic lion, while near Lake Eyasi we’ll meet the Hadza, a hunter-gatherer tribe. Are you ready to spend your nights under the stars and your days becoming one with nature and its inhabitants? After all, you know you’ll be leaving Tanzania with that famous nostalgia called “Africa blues”!
Tour mood
The tour is challenging and it will require great adaptability: you will sleep in a tent for several consecutive nights, even inside parks and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the campsites are public, the toilets are very basic and you are not guaranteed to find hot water. It will be totally worth it though, just imagine what an unforgettable journey this will be! Let's remember that the African dream is an expensive dream but by sleeping in a tent and by relying on a local driver we are preserving the beauty of these lands. Choosing the locals as our guides, we are helping them and the rangers fight their every day battle against poachers and those who do not respect African nature. A backpack is necessary to optimise the space in the jeeps.
Physical effort
During the Safari your natural alarm clock will be the same as the animals’: the glorious sun! You will sleep in tents in the wildest savannah, in close contact with nature for many consecutive nights. Pack a good dose of adaptability and some sense of adventure; it will be a dusty trip and for the whole part of the safari, the roads won’t be paved. Do not panic, though: the atmosphere, our guide and your travel buddies will help you overcome even the small discomforts.
