Patagonia: from the Land of Fire to Buenos Aires
Self-driven tour
This is a self-driven tour. We love a road trip us, and not just for the throwback playlists, but because it gives you the freedom to truly explore a destination. If you feel willing and comfortable to drive, let us know when booking. I'm sure that as a thanks, your non-driving travel buddies will keep you well-fed with snacks!
Patagonia is the dream destination for those who love natural landscapes and especially mountains. This tour lasts 13 days and will take you from the Land of Fire to Buenos Aires; a true experience of the great outdoors, in a far away land, so different from our everyday life. We’ll reach the end of the world, lost in a bubble where time takes on a different meaning and the slow pace of life will allow you to take a deep breath and refocus your energy. The deeper we step into the wild, the more we’ll learn how to pace ourselves, to slow down, enjoy the moments and appreciate the landscapes before our eyes. We’ll learn to see Nature’s beauty through different eyes, and become more conscious of its power and fragility.
Travel Mood
We will need drivers for the drive between between Punta Arena and El Calafate. One whole day will be spent travelling through Patagonia, but apart from that, the pace of the tour will be quite slow. A backpack is necessary to optimise the space in the cars, and to facilitate the many hotel changes.
Travel Difficulty
The itinerary includes many trekking excursions, which will allow you to fully appreciate the beauty of the destination. They aren't mandatory of course, but we highly recommend that you take part! For the hikes, we recommend that participants depart with a good fitness level.
