An easy peasy day
Welcome to the jungle!
Ocean or lagoon?
Relax a Bacalar
In fact, Bacalar is a lagoon, renamed by the Maya as the 'lagoon of seven colours'. Coming here is like stepping into the Caribbean with its azure water and tropical feel! We make the most of this little paradise, and we can even consider taking a boat trip before spending the night in Bacalar to enjoy the sunset!
Ruins with sea view
From Tulum to Holbox
La Isla Bonita
Reluctantly we have to say goodbye to Tulum, but the next stop will be unforgettable: Have you ever heard of Holbox? If you haven't, then fear not, we chose it for a reason! Here, we are far away from the hustle and bustle of the Riviera Maya, which means we can finally enjoy some peace and quiet!
Are you ready for paradise?
Holbox and Playa del Carmen
Let’s enjoy the ocean!
For these last few days in Mexico we enjoy the sea. We are in Holbox and, depending on the season, we decide together what to do; there are various excursions and activities to choose from. From mid-May to mid-September we can experience the thrill of swimming with whale sharks - no, without a cage because these gentle giants are harmless! We can go on a boat trip, snorkelling, cycling or we can explore another island nearby: the options are endless!
Finally, on the last day, the return trip from Holbox to Playa del Carmen (or Cancun, depending on availability) awaits us. Since it'll be hard to leave Holbox (you'll see why), we'll organise to leave as late as possible, so we can arrive just in time for the farewell dinner. This is our last opportunity to load up on tacos, tortillas, cerveza and tequila before hitting the dance floor at Coco Bongo, to toast to our Mexican adventure!
